Dog Salad

This is a salad based on the Chicago hotdog, and believe it or not, it has developed a cult following and is much more delicious than it has a right to be. Crunchy romaine and cabbage are tossed with cut-up tomatoes, scallions, cucumbers, chopped pickle and banana pepper rings. The vegetation is dressed with a ballpark mustard vinaigrette that is so good, I don’t know why, it just is. Two top-quality all-beef hotdogs are thickly sliced on the diagonal, grilled on the flat-top until charred and crispy around the edges, and piled on top of the salad. The whole is topped with a little tangle of crispy fried onions and served with warm toast. This is one of those “sum is greater than the parts” culinary experiences, and what can I say, it’s Da Bomb! 12.95

Egg Salad Sandwich with Nueske’s Bacon and Marinated Tomatoes

In case you didn’t know, we have the best eggs in the land. Raised by local farmer Dale Filbrun, they are organic, superfresh and don’t travel far from his farm to your plate. They say organic eggs have triple the nutrition that non-organic eggs do—they’re certainly triple the price. A great way to showcase these brown beauties is in a freshly-made egg salad, gently mixed with chopped housemade pickles, fresh dill, a dab of mustard and of course, mayonnaise. Put a nice scoop on some toasted bread, top it with the best bacon on the planet and our housemade marinated tomatoes, and you’ve got a classic American sandwich, with top-notch ingredients to boot. 11.95

Grilled Ham and Cheese with Peach Sriracha

Lee Ann House is at it again. This time she is rolling out her Peach Sriracha, and girl, it is good! Spicy, fruity, food-friendly—my staff couldn’t get enough of the sample bottle she dropped by. And what it does to a grilled and ham and cheese—you’re going to love it! Premium, hardwood-smoked ham, sharp cheddar and a slathering of the peach sriracha grilled on DLM bread, served with fries or vinaigrette-dressed greens. Man O Man. 11.95

Georgia Reuben

Most people in Georgia have never heard of a “Georgia Reuben”. It turns out it originated in Michigan, where it is practically the State Sandwich. It features turkey instead of corned beef, with slaw standing in for kraut, and is grilled to perfection. I don’t know how a Northern sandwich got the moniker of a Southern state, but I do know it is delicious! Our hardwood-smoked turkey is deeply flavored, no water added and hand-sliced for this sandwich, griddled on DLM rye bread with real Swiss Gruyere and crunchy cole slaw made with Russian dressing. 11.95

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Vietnamese Noodle Salad

‘Lark Burger

All-natural Ohio beef seasoned with red wine, coarse salt and fresh rosemary, all of which enhance and juicify the burger. The alcohol is totally cooked out before wine meets beef. Served on a buttered, toasted kaiser roll with white cheddar, mustard-mayo and lettuce………10.95

Meadow Burger

A meatless, whole grain, nut and vegetable burger grilled to a crispy brown, nestled in a buttetred, toasted kaiser roll, slathered with mustard-mayonnaise and topped with lettuce and juicy, marinated roma tomato slices, This burger is vegan, and though some of the accompaniments listed are not, just say the word and we’ll substitute olive oil and vegan-aise  for the butter and mayo………9.95

Shaved Beef Sandwich

Beef  is slow-poached in wine and stock with lots of garlic cloves, then sliced super-thin. To order, we throw about a quarter pound of the meat on the griddle with sharp cheddar and let it steam under a lid. We spatch it up onto a grilled split baguette dressed with caper mayo, and pile it with cut lettuce. That’s it! Really good! Served with fries or vinaigrette-dressed greens……..11.95

Grilled Fish Sandwich

A fillet of Maine haddock is seasoned, seared and served on grilled farmhouse bread piled with slaw and spread with caper mayonnaise……..11.95

Portabello Pattymelt

A big, meaty portabello mushroom roasted with garlic, coarse salt and olive oil, DLM New York Rye, true gruyere cheese, grilled onions and house-made mustard-mayo combine for a big, juicy sandwich–and you won’t be missing the meat……..9.95



Hoppin’ John

A delicious version of this Southern supper dish, black-eyed peas are simmered with onion, cooking greens and some snappy spices, then ladled over hot rice and garnished with pepper vinegar, roasted garlic oil, chopped tomato, scallion and grated white cheddar. Served with cornbread……..$9.95

Spaghetti Carbonara
